Thousands of people from across County Clare have taken part in the annual Darkness Into Light runs and walks.

Beginning at 4.15am, the event saw participants across the line as dawn broke.
Ennis, Shannon, Kilrush, Miltown Malbay and Killaloe/Ballina all hosted events this morning.
Darkness Into Light, which is celebrating its eighth year, is organised by suicide and self-harm prevention charity, Pieta House.
