Thousands are expected to descend on Mountshannon this weekend for its annual arts festival.
Running from Thursday to the June Bank holiday Monday, the festival promises highlights including concerts by Mary Coughlan and Jiggy, theatre performances, workshops for all ages and exhibitions by well known visual artists.

A community market and plenty of activities for families and kids is also in store over the four days.
Chairperson of Mountshannon Arts, Mel White has told Clare FM’s Morning Focus that huge preparation has gone into ensuring the area is ready for the massive influx of visitors this weekend.
