A thief used a hurley to smash a car window parked in South East Clare, before making his escape with the contents.
The incident happened in the car park in O’Brien’s Bridge just after 8 o’clock last Sunday night and resulted in a handbag being stolen from the vehicle.

The offender is described as a slender male, wearing a light blue hoodie and it’s understood he left the scene in a black Volkswagen Passat; which was seen speeding through the village, before taking a left at O’Gorman’s Cross.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone that may have observed this car in the O’Brien’s Bridge area on Sunday evening, or may have information on the incident to contact Killaloe Garda Station on 061 620540.
