The only Clare candidate for the European Parliament Elections in the North and West Constituency is setting out his plans for reform today, vowing to clean up politics.

East Clare Barrister and Farmer Michael McNamara is launching his election campaign on the steps of Galway City Hall using political theatre to symbolically clean it up!

The Scarriff man announced his decision to contest the European Elections on Clare FM on Tuesday last, and since then he says he’s challenged the Taoiseach to debate the Lisbon Treaty, and the Environment Minister to debate the motion "that local government is weak, so local elections are a waste of resources."
