The TFI Local Link branch for Clare has expressed hope that its buses will be able to assist in providing school transport from next year.
Acute driver and vehicle shortages in recent months resulted in at least six areas in the county finding themselves without a functioning school bus route at the start of this academic year.
Transport for Ireland, meanwhile, currently provides seven daily and as well as 15 demand responsive Local Link services across Clare, with more routes to be announced in the coming months.
