Clare County Council is assessing bids to construct the new county library.
The bid process closed in November, and the bids are now to be evaluated with a view to selecting the firm that will construct the ambitious new project adjacent to Glor.

It’s anticipated that the process of selecting the successful bidder will be completed early in the New Year.
The new library – which has previously had an estimated build cost of €8.6m – will replace the existing De Valera library, and is expected to open in 2021.
