The green light has been given for a temporary primary school to be built at a GAA club outside Ennis.
Knockanean NS were granted planning permission to build a new two-storey building in 2020 – with the development expected to be in the region of €6.5m to €7m.

The school have this month received the go ahead from Clare County Council to build a temporary premises at St. Joseph’s Doora Barefield GAA Club.
Seven prefabs will be erected at the site to accommodate 12 Classrooms, 5 Special Education Teaching rooms, a staff room, prinicpal’s office, and administration room.
