Teen Killed In Farming Accident Named Locally

A teenager killed in a farm accident in Co. Tipperary has been named locally as St Anne’s College, Killaloe Junior Cert student Patrick McCormack.

The 15-year-old died after falling off the back of a tractor while working on a family member’s farm near Boulaglass, in Newtown near Nenagh yesterday afternoon.

His is the first workplace fatality in the country of 2018 and Gardaí and the HSA are investigating the incident.
