Two units from the Limerick City Fire and Rescue Service, one unit from Killaloe Fire Service, Gardaí and Ambulance were dispatched to the scene.

The road has been closed to facilitate a Garda technical examination, and will remain closed for another hour.

The girl has been transferred by ambulance to University Hospital Limerick, where she’s being treated for leg injuries, which Gardaí say are serious but not life threatening.

Gardaí in Killaloe are investigating and are appealing to anyone on the bus or in the vicinity at the time, who haven’t already spoken to Gardaí, to contact them on 061 620 540 or any Garda station.
