A 16 year old is being quizzed by gardaí over an attempted tiger raid in Limerick.
He was arrested in Donoghmore following the abduction of two teenagers in the city at the weekend.
This attempted Tiger Kidnapping involving a two man gang -occurred last Sunday but details are only emerging today ..
The victims- two teenagers were abducted from their home in the Castletroy area and bungled into a four wheel drive – one was released a short time later while the other a 19 year old was driven around for a number of hours with a hood placed over his head.
Its understood the gang had ordered him to contact family members who run a post office to organise a ransom – but he refused and managed to escape and notify gardaí
Then yesterday morning a 16 year old was arrested in the Donaghmore area of County Limerick in connection with the incident
He is being held at Henry St. garda station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act – he can be held for up to 72 hours.
Further arrests are likely
