Teen Dies In Ennis Road Crash

Ennis Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to a fatal road collision which claimed the life of an 18-year-old man.

The teenager was a passenger in a car which collided with a wall on the Shanaway Road, near Hotel Woodstock in the early hours of this morning.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver and a second passenger, aged 19 and 21, were taken to University Hospital Limerick where their condition is described as critical.

The road was closed to allow for a forensic examination to take place but has since re-opened.
