Teacher reprieve for North Clare School

A north Clare primary school has been successful in it’s appeal against the loss of a member of teaching staff.

Boston National School, near Tubber, had been told it was going to lose a teacher from September, and was not included on a recent list of schools which had been given a reprieve.

However, after the submission of further information, the school has been told that it can keep both of it’s teachers.

There’s also good news for several Ennis Schools

Educate Together National School, Scoil Chríost Ri, Cloughleigh and Holy Family Junior and Senior Schools have all been given a extra post for the teaching of English as an Additional Language.

Clare Labour Government TD Michael McNamara feels the news will be warmly welcomed in the Boston area.
