They’ll spend two days debating the Social Welfare Bill – which cuts dole payments to those under the age of 26 and also abolishes the bereavement grant.
However, deputies will only have around 9 hours to debate the Bill.
The Department of Social Protection says that’s to ensure that all changes are in force by the New Year.
But opposition TDs say that’s not fair – they believe they should have been given them more time to discuss the measures.
