A taskforce is to be established with a view to bringing more jobs to Kilkishen, following the recent closure of a major employer in the area.

Last month, telecommunications company Essco Collins announced the closure of its factory this summer with the loss of 30 jobs.

A meeting was organised last night by Kilkishen Development Association to discuss the economic future of the locality and Chairperson Michael Hogan is pleased with the progress made so far.
