Ennis Hospital has surpassed targets on waiting times set for outpatient appointments and day care procedures.

UL Hospitals Group says it is the first in the country to achieve the Health Minister's target of 18-month waiting lists, while at the group's smaller hospitals including Ennis no one is waiting longer than a year.
The group says efforts to further reduce waiting times will continue, while officials say the improvements are helping to ease pressures at Dooradoyle.
