The Taoiseach is to visit Shannon today to officially open an extension for the town’s largest employer.
Micheál Martin is to step foot into EI Electronics in the Shannon Industrial Estate, which employs 1,100 people, to open a new building adjacent to its existing headquarters.

The Fianna Fail leader previously visited Clare for the annual commemoration for Eamon de Valera though was unable to launch the Ennis 2040 plan due to Covid restrictions at the time.
The party’s Clare TD Cathal Crowe says it’s important for the head of government to be visiting the county.
