Taoiseach To Meet Pope Francis

The Taoiseach's to meet Pope Francis in the Vatican next week. 

Enda Kenny had requested the meeting after the decision for the World Meeting of Families to be held in Dublin in 2018, which the Pope is expected to attend.

The government is fully supportive of a Papal visit, while there have been suggestions that he could take in Holy Island on Lough Derg while he is here.

Last month, Bishop Fintan Monahan revealed to Clare FM that he will be inviting the pontiff to the Diocese of Killaloe when Irish bishops visit Rome early next year and today he's expressed hopes that the visit will happen.
