A West Clare councillor has been namechecked in the White House.
During their meeting in Washington DC, the Taoiseach and the US President discussed the positive economic impact Trump International Golf Links and Hotel Doonbeg has had on this county.

Micheál Martin thanked Donald Trump for the support he’s given to the region and singled him out as the only US President to have “physically invested in Ireland”.
He also passed on a message from Doonbeg Fianna Fáil Councillor Rita McInerney.
