It’s also been announced that Ireland will contribute €7 million to the EU Free Ukraine Fund which goes towards food, energy security and refugee supports.

The Taoiseach insists until Russia is defeated, people from Ukraine are welcome to seek sanctuary in Ireland.

President Zelenskyy meanwhile has expressed his gratitude to the people of Ireland for their support of Ukrainian refugees since the Russian invasion.
