The Taoiseach says the government is taking the threat of strike action by Gardaí very seriously.

Enda Kenny's asked the Garda Representative Association and the Association of Garda Sergeants and Inspectors to sit down and talk to the justice minister.
Middle ranking gardaí will begin a work to rule this Friday and will join rank and file officers on four days of all out strike next month.
In the Dáil the Taoiseach appealed for this to be resolved
