The Taoiseach says it's up to the Central Bank to impose sanctions on lenders who have not adhered to the code of conduct on mortgage arrears.

Enda Kenny's also told the Dáil that he would expect these sanctions to be publicised.
It follows a report showing seven unnamed lenders have breached the code of conduct, making contact with mortgage holders even after a repayment schedule had been agreed.
Meanwhile, one Ennis-based Personal Insolvency Practitioner has said he’s not surprised about the report’s findings.
However, John Hogan has said that it’s still important that people who are struggling with mortgage debt engage with banks as soon as possible.
