The Taoiseach has told US billionaire Donald Trump that he is "very conscious" of his concerns about the proposed sale of Aer Lingus.
The Irish Independent reports details of correspondence between the pair today, weeks after it was revealed that Trump had written to the Irish government calling on the state to retain its stake in the former flag carrier.
Mr. Trump, who took over the former Doonbeg Golf Club in West Clare last year, told the government that the shares give Ireland "strategic advantages."
In a letter sent last month, Mr. Kenny assures Trump that the government is aware of the importance of aviation and tourism, and he suggests that they could meet in Clare with a hand-written note stating "See you in Doonbeg!"
