Taoiseach Remaining Tight Lipped On Shannon Heritage Sites

The Taoiseach is remaining tight lipped on the transfer of Shannon Heritage sites to the local authority.

Negotiations between the Government, Clare County Council and Shannon Airport Group had been ongoing since the beginning of the year, with the Council understood to be looking for a multi million euro package.

However, it’s understood Clare Councillors were told this morning that a senior civil servant has told the local authority funding would not be provided.
