The Taoiseach has held his first private talks with the Pope.
The 30 minute meeting took place in the Vatican this morning.
Enda Kenny is believed to have encouraged Pope Francis to travel outside Dublin when he makes an official visit to Ireland in August 2018.
It comes ahead of a visit to Rome in January by the Catholic Bishops of Ireland, including Bishop of Killaloe Fintan Monahan, who's indicated that he'll extend an invitation to the Pontiff to come to Clare as part of his visit.
