The Taoiseach has held a 90 minute meeting with the Ukrainian Prime Minster at Shannon Airport this afternoon in relation to the ongoing crisis in the war-torn state.
Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal made a stopover at the MidWest airport to refuel on his way to Washington DC.

Later the Taoiseach will brief the Cabinet on efforts to house Ukrainian refugees with the Millstreet Arena in Cork likely to come into use as emergency accommodation as early as today.
Micheál Martin says as well as being updated on the progress of the war, he also discussed the potential for a sixth round of sanctions with the Prime Minister.
