He was accompanied by Tourism Minister Paschal Donohue today as Fine Gael outlined their plans to further develop the tourism sector.

Details of a 100 million euro spending plan were unveiled, including a focus on the Wild Atlantic Way.

Here, the money would be spent on new capital projects and others focussed on built heritage.

Elsewhere, though, five days from polling day. the focus of Enda Kenny's comments was again on the economic recovery.

However, he conceded that this had yet to be felt by thousands, and said spreading the recovery to every home would be the focus if the outgoing government are re-elected.

On his party's election chances, following disappointing poll results locally and nationally, Enda Kenny also insisted that many people have yet to make up their minds five days out from polling day.
