The Taoiseach's been asked to issue a joint statement with opposition leaders, stating his support for freedom of speech for TDs.

The call comes from Renua leader Lucinda Creighton following legal action from businessman Denis O'Brien.
Mr O'Brien is suing the State, and the members of the Dáil's procedural committee, over what he says is their failure to stop the abuse of privilege by certain TDs.
Deputy Creighton says Enda Kenny and other leaders should come together to tell Mr O'Brien to "back off":
