Taoiseach Enda Kenny has arrived in Washington for his St Patrick’s Day trip ahead of schedule because of ‘Storm Stella’.
Around 50 million people along the eastern seaboard are under storm or blizzard warnings.
It’s also forced Aer Lingus to cancel 12 flights including 10 routes between Dublin and New York, Boston and Newark.
