Taoiseach again declines apology to Magdalene survivors

The Taoiseach’s been accused of being "cruel" after again declining to apologise to the Magdalene women.

Opposition leaders pleaded with Enda Kenny to give the survivors the full apology they’re seeking.

But Mr Kenny insisted that he and the Government needed space to decide what to do to bring closure for the women.

And after Sinn Féin’s deputy leader Mary Lou McDonald accused him of being cruel by not apologising, the Taoiseach hit back.
