The Tánaiste insists he “stands ready” to help Clare.
Simon Harris met with Cathaoirleach of Clare County Council, Paul Murphy at Government Buildings last evening for a discussion on the Clarecastle Councillor’s priorities during his term as Mayor, as well as some of the local authority’s priorities for the year ahead.
The Fine Gael representatives discussed a number of issues, including housing, roads investment, the health service in the Midwest, access to disability services, supporting small and medium businesses, and particularly tourism and hospitality.
Tánaiste Simon Harris said “I know Paul has an ambitious programme for the year ahead and I want him and the people of Clare to know that I am ready to help and assist in every way that I can.
“I want to wish Paul the very best for his term. He’s a good friend, a good Fine Gael colleague and I stand ready to help Clare County Council, alongside our Council team in Clare and Deputy Joe Cooney in every way I can,” Minister Harris said.
