The Tánaiste and Justice minister appears to be backing a plan by Britain for Ireland to police our ports of entry on behalf of the U.K.

The Northern Ireland Secretary James Brokenshire has suggested that air and sea ports would also act as a border frontier for the U.K. and eliminate the need for a hard border between the Republic and the North.
Frances Fitzgerald says the comments aren't surprising as there's already co-operation on security matters
