More than 670 workers face the axe including over a hundred cabin crew at Shannon Airport as management aim to restructure the troubled airline.

An extraordinary meeting of the board of Aer Lingus will take place later today where a decision will be taken on the introduction of cost cutting measures – with or without agreement from the unions.
