Talks on Cahercalla Job Losses to Take Place

Talks are set to take place today between management and staff at Cahercalla Community Hospital over proposed redundancies at the facility.

The Ennis hospital and hospice has accumulated substantial losses since 2004 which have been described as unsustainable and is now undertaking major cost cutting measures to off set this.

The Board of Management says this include necessary staff redundancies in order to maintain the financial viability of the hospice.
