Talented Clare Entrepreneur And Sportsman To Be Laid To Rest Today

A talented East Clare sportsman and entrepreneur who tragically lost his life in a fatal road traffic collision will be laid to rest today.

Darren Ryan from Meelick passed away in the early hours of Sunday morning last after the mini-bus he was driving collided with Athlunkard Bridge.

The thirty-year old who had recently started his own coach hire service has been remembered this week as a gifted athlete by his former clubmates at Parteen-Meelick GAA, Garryowen Rugby Club and Young Munster RFC.

Darren, who is survived by his parents Ray and Trish, sister Dawn, triplet brothers Evan and Gavin, partner Millena and son Raymie, will be laid to rest in Ballycannon Cemetery, following funeral mass at John the Baptist Church, Meelick at 12 noon.
