The Syrian Prime Minister, Riad Hijab, has left his job, just two months after his appointment.

Syrian State television is reporting he has been dismissed from the job, however the Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights says Hijab has defected from the regime and fled the country with his family.
This latest development comes as government forces appear to be preparing a major ground assault to clear battered rebels from Aleppo, the country’s second biggest city.
This morning a bomb exploded at Syria’s State TV and Radio building in Damascus, injuring at least five people.
