Sympathies have been expressed to Newmarket on Fergus Councillor Pat McMahon, following the death of his wife.

Catherine, better known as Kitty McMahon lost her battle with illness on Friday – last evening she was described by local representatives as an ‘outstanding community person’ who will be ‘sorely missed.’
Clare County Council’s monthly meeting was adjourned as a mark of respect, while condolences were also offered to the family of Shannon Town Councillor Tony McMahon, following the death of his brother John.
