Swimmers Urged To Swim In Lifeguarded Areas Only

As the weather heats up again, Clare’s Water Safety Officer is urging people to only swim in lifeguarded areas.

It follows a cliff diving accident near Lisacannor yesterday, which resulted in a man in his forties receiving serious head wounds.

He was airlifted to University Hospital Galway where he was treated for his injuries, which are not believed to be life threatening.
