Clare Samaritans says they too have seen an influx of extra callers on the organisation's busiest ever year.

Across the country, Samaritans has taken close to half a million calls to its helpline this year, while it has also answered thousands of emails and texts
However, much of the 52 per cent increase is being attributed to a new freephone number, 116 123, which had been trialled in Clare before it was rolled out nationwide.
Volunteer with the Ennis and Clare Samaritans Branch Kevin Phelan is pleased that people have been reaching out.
