The Ennis native and award winning rally navigator was placed in an induced coma, though it’s believed that her injuries are not as serious as first feared.

McEnery, the navigator for Kerry driver Mike Quinn, last year became the first Clare competitor to win the Top Part West Coast Rally Co- Driver of the Year.

Councillor James Breen- a close family friend says rallying is the love of the McEnerys lives and that the accident is unfortunate but hopefully Grainne will make a full recovery.
