Expert crews are on the ground working to restore normal water supply as quickly as possible to impacted customers.

Repair works are scheduled to take place until 4pm on Tuesday, 12 November.

Alternative water supplies in the form of bulk tankers have been arranged and will be in place from 10am on Tuesday, 12 November at Flagmount Bottle Bank.

Customers are reminded to use their own containers when taking water from the tanker and to boil water before consumption as a precautionary measure.

Darragh Conneely, Operations Lead for Uisce Éireann said: “We understand the inconvenience of an unplanned outage of this nature, and we thank customers for their support while our crews work to ensure that a normal water supply is returned to those impacted as quickly as possible.”

Following repair works, it typically takes two to three hours for normal supply to be fully restored to all areas as the water refills the network, especially for those on higher ground or at the end of the network.

Vulnerable customers who have registered with Uisce Éireann receive direct communications from us for planned and unplanned outages lasting more than four hours.
