Superintendent Rejects Claim That Kilrush ‘Infested’ With Drugs

The Head of the Kilrush Garda Division is dismissing claims that the West Clare town has become infested with drugs use.

Superintendent John Galvin has however acknowledged that not unlike many other areas across the county, there continues to be an ongoing issue with the problem of drugs in the Kilrush area.

He insists that the issue remains a priority, with Gardaí on the streets on a 24-hour basis and a considerable number of searches of people and property being carried out on an ongoing basis.
