Met Eireann has made it official – June was sunnier than usual here in Clare.

Forecasters say the weather station at Shannon Airport recorded 180% of the usual amount of sunshine last month.
Shannon was also home to the highest mean temperature last month, though this was nearly one degree less than normal.
Despite this, the figures for June mean that this Spring has been the sunniest in five years.
