Students Sleeping On Floors And Couches This Week Says Ennis Native UL Student Life President

It’s claimed some students attending university in the Midwest have been sleeping on floors and couches this week, as they struggle to secure accommodation for the college term.

A lack of housing supply coupled with increased demand has led to a shortage of available rooms for students this year in particular, with some landlords offering substandard accommodation.

One such example advertised in Castletroy in Limerick, includes two bunk beds cramped into a kitchenette.
