Pupils from two West Clare Schools are participating in a natiowide campaign to tackle gum litter .

Kilrush Community School and Saint Joseph’s Secondary School in Spanish point are involved in the Bin It education programme which aims to raise awareness of the importance of disposing litter properly, particularly chewing gum

Its been organised by the Gum Litter Taskforce set up in 2006, and the pupils will be visiting 50 schools nationwide over the coming months.
