Secondary schools could be closing this autumn, as a result of a possible strike by ASTI members.

The results of a ballot – over pay levels for newly qualified teachers and the withdrawal from supervision and substitution duties – will be anounced today.
The union is also holding a protest outside the Dail this evening calling for equal pay for equal work.
President of the ASTI Ed Byrne says Industrial action is very likely amongst teachers.
