Hurling Legend Ger Loughnane will celebrate Clare’s older people today as he launches the County’s Age Friendly Strategy in Ennis.

The event is taking place in the West County Hotel at 2pm and will feature talks from the twice All-Ireland Winning former Clare Manager along with Garda Chief Superintendent John Kerin and other groups on improving the county for an ageing population.
The strategy arises from a consultation process carried out by the County Council and Clare’s Age Friendly County Alliance Board.
