A demonstration against the Republic Of Ireland upcoming soccer fixtures with Israel is expected to draw large crowds to Ennis this weekend.
The Ireland Palestine Solidarity Campaign is staging a ‘Stop The Game’ rally at the O’Connell Monument from 11am on Saturday.

As it stands, Ireland and Israel will play their home and away fixtures in neutral venues of Hungary and Serbia, with the second match to be held behind closed doors due to geopolitical tensions.
IPSC Chairperson Zoe Lawlor says facilitating the game would be sportswashing.
