Still A Waiting Game For Modular Unit At UHL – Norton

A Clare member of the HSE’s Regional Health Forum West insists it’s still a waiting game for the recently confirmed 60-bed modular unit at UHL.

The long-awaited €19 million project, seen as key in tackling the persistent overcrowding situation at Dooradoyle, will finally begin this month after an initial €2 million has been allocated to allow it to start.

The entire project is expected to take 15 months to complete, meaning it should be up and running by June 2020, though there have been assurances it will be even earlier than that.
