A status yellow wind warning has been issued for all of Munster as well as Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford, Donegal, Galway, Mayo, and Sligo.

Gusts of up to 110 kilometres per hour are expected with the risk of coastal flooding.

The warning comes into effect at 9pm on Monday and will last until 6am Tuesday morning.
