A status yellow weather warning has been issued by Met Eireann for Clare and the south-east of the country.
The mid-level alert will come into effect from midnight tonight and remain in place until 10am on Saturday.

The National Forecaster is advising the public of unseasonably strong southeasterly winds, prevailing in coastal areas and on high ground.
Motorists, meanwhile are urged be aware of the potential for falling branches over the duration of the alert.
Additionally a small craft warning will come into effect on all coasts from 6pm and remain in place until 10pm on Saturday.
